monday july 23rd-
the first aspect of the day and week occurs at 5:24am when mars in libra trines ceres in gemini, aligning the conscious will and drive with the asteroid goddess of mothering and nurturing. with these two planets in harmonious aspect we have a lot of energy generated in support of our family, caretaking and security needs. with both bodies in air signs we are supported in sharing ideas, communicating and nurturing ourselves and others by allow each to speak his/her Truth!

tuesday july 24th-
the first aspect of the day occurs at 6:09am when jupiter in gemini squares retrograde chiron in pisces, creating tension and friction between the planet of expansion and abundance and the wounded healer. opportunities for deep healing arise but the means by which we get there is to go through/down/deep into the wounds and pain of the past. in gemini, jupiter tends to want to rise above and intellectualize, but chiron in pisces knows that healing only happens when we move through and fully experience and release the past that has it's hold on us. pay attention to where the wounds are for you today and then instead of avoiding them move towards them and see what lessons and healing they have in store for you!

retrograde mercury in leo sextiles jupiter in gemini at 12:14pm, bringing a sense of expansion and growth to the mind that is journey inward and downward into our psyche right now due to mercury's retrograde status. when mercury is retrograde he is akin to his role as psychopomp- a guide who can move us between the upper and lower worlds. he helps us to glean insights into our shadows and our past- and with jupiter involved we have opportunities to get release from those shadows/that past if we are ready to fully face it and integrate it. mercury/juptier can bring some powerful insights today- so pay attention and keep a journal handy.

then at 2;21pm retrograde mercury quincunxes retrograde chiron in pisces, activating the jupiter/chiron square that was exact early this morning. mercury's role in this activation is to provide insight and a means to communicate what we see and realize right now. old pain and wounds that surface today can seem difficult for the ego to accept or deal with, but if you allow the psychopomp to move you through the darkness he will take you back out into the Light again! pay attention to communications had today as well as insights, intuitions and aha moments. some aspect of Truth is trying to reveal itself!

the day ends with the sun, newly in leo, quincunx retrograde neptune in pisces at 6:34pm. the sun is now in his home sign- bolstering his firey, passionate, creative and individualistic energies. where the sun likes to have a clear sense of self, neptune likes to dissolve all of our outer senses. the sun is the ego and neptune is the dissolver of ego. positively this energy can sensitize us and help us to tune into the subtle, mystical vibrations that are all around us all the time but we are often too externally focused to notice! yet the shadow side of neptune can also arise- the tendency to be deluded, in denial, have issues with boundaries and/or turn to addictions to manage the oversensitivity. taking time to drop in and meditate is recommended tonight!

 

wednesday july 25th-
at 6:27am retrograde mercury in leo trines retrograde uranus in aries, aligning the mind with the planet that brings insight, sudden shifts and radical openings. with mercury aspecting jupiter yesterday and uranus today the information coming in on the inner levels is powerful! uranus can help us release attachments to thoughts/ideas from the past that no longer serve our evolution. since this aspect occurs in the early morning hours, pay attention to your dreams upon waking for important messages from the Unconscious.

the sun in leo trines the north node in sagittarius at 9:49am, aligning the conscious self and ego with our path of growth and destiny! the north node is were our evolution lies and when we have our ego selves on board with that path there is no stopping the growth that is possible! with fire signs highlighted we are supported in aligning with our passion, spirit, creativity and Higher Selves today!

the only other aspect today involves the sun in leo contraparallel to retrograde pluto in capricorn at 1:12pm, energetically opposing the ego with the lord of the underworld. insights into the depths and illumination of the shadows is possible today, but so are power/control dynamics and fears of the ego dying. tune into the evolutionary energy at hand and get on board with it!

 

thursday july 26th-
the only major aspect today occurs at 12:12pm when retrograde mercury in leo quincunxes retrograde pluto in capricorn, bringing the conscious mind and intellect head to head with the lord of the underworld. yesterday mercury trined uranus and today he tensely aspects pluto- essentially triggering the uranus/pluto square energies and bringing intense stuff up to process and/or communicate about. mercury/pluto brings opportunities to talk about intense things, look at the shadows that lie beneath the surface and get clear on what needs to be purged or let go of. there is also the potential for power/control dynamics to arise in communication- and with the uranus/pluto square energies activated we should take note of what is up for us right now as it is likely tied into the evolution and changes being asked of us over the coming years.

 

friday july 27th-
there are no major aspects today and there are no moon aspects- making it a very interesting day where no energies dominate and therefore anything can come in! it is interesting to note that on wednesday the 25th we had the mayan astrology 'day out of time' and then just two days later we have a western astrology day with zero aspects. the 3 days spanning this time (wednesday the 25th through today) should be very interesting. pay attention.

 

saturday july 28th-
the day starts off with the sun in leo parallel to venus in gemini, exact at 1:07am. sun/venus is loving, warm and interested in socially connecting with others and promoting beauty in the world around us! yet the other venus aspects today are tense ones, so there may be issues in relationships and finances that we are dealing with today. the best use of this energy is to bring those issues to Light and then deal with them!

at 1:45am retrograde mercury in leo semisquares venus in gemini, bringing tension and friction between the mind and the heart. interestingly mercury/the mind is in the sign of the heart (leo) and venus/the heart is in the sign of the mind (gemini). with this dualistic energy playing out the best use of this energy is finding a way to bridge the mind and heart and express our thoughts and feelings to others- yet the tense aspect can create issues and an awareness of where our hearts and minds are out of balance.

venus in gemini quincunxes juno in scorpio at 12:26pm, bringing tension with a need for adjustment between the goddess of Love and beauty and the asteroid goddess of partnership and marriage. venus governs romance and fun, whereas juno governs what we need for long-term commitment. with these two in tense aspect our desires and our needs can be at odds. with gemini and scorpio the energies are very opposite: gemini wants freedom, movement and space while scorpio wants depth, soulfulness and intensity. in relationships, and perhaps finances, we may need to find a better balance between Lightness and intensity, space and togetherness, awareness of the possibilities and attendance of the shadows.

the last aspect of the day occurs at 12:57pm when the sun cojoins retrograde mercury in leo. this is the halfway point of the current mercury retrograde cycle and it often coincides with insights, aha moments and Light being shed on whatever issues you have been working on rethinking/reviewing/revising/resolving during this retrograde journey. pay attention to the conversations had/heard today as well as insights and intuitions that arise from the depths of your Unconscious.

 

sunday july 29th-
at 1:33am the sun in leo parallels ceres in gemini, bringing Light and focus to our nurturing/caretaking/family relationships as well as our needs for security and safety. sun/ceres is like the magnanimous father/mother energy that wants to give and provide and share with everyone! positively we can nurture others- but we need to be sure we are nurturing ourselves equally. the week started off with mars trine ceres and now it ends with sun/ceres- so the focus on nurturing, caretaking and family dynamics is high this week!

the day and week ends with saturn in libra sesquiquadrate to retrograde chiron in pisces, exact at 7:06pm. with the planet of limitation, karma and responsibility in tense aspect to the wounded healer we have an opportunity to look deeply at wounds around boundaries and balance of self and other, give and take in our most significant relationships. saturn is finishing up his journey in libra, with only a few months left of lessons around the libra energies. both libra and pisces have the tendency to focus on others and want to help/heal/please others- sometimes to the detriment of themselves! lessons abound right now that are helping us to see where we need to set boundaries, give more or give less (wherever we tend to be extreme on one end- the lesson is the other side), and where may need to stop being martyrs OR stop looking for someone else to be martyrs for us. these lessons have been around for a while (saturn entered libra over 2 years ago and chiron did so in mid 2010) so this is a culmination point of these lessons and check points as to where you are with them can arise this week and most importantly today. with saturn and chiron lessons you cannot evade the Truth! the sooner you own it and take personal responsibility for it- the sooner you can heal and let go of what holds you back.
