there is some VERY intense astrology building right now, and many of you i am sure can feel it!!! tonight mars in scorpio quincunxes retrograde uranus in aries- which can be a volatile combination of sudden events and unexpected changes. it can also incite outburst of anger, aggression and accidents- so being aware of how we channel this energy is key.
over the weekend and into next week mars will trigger the saturn/uranus quincunx. these two bodies have been in tense aspect since november 2012 and the last exact aspect was on october 4th of last year- but due to their retrograde and direct stations they are traveling VERY CLOSE and are effectively in orb so the transit is still very much playing out. saturn is the principle of tradition, patriarchy and control, while uranus is the principle of change, evolution and revolution. put these two together and you can get a pressure cooker waiting to explode! add to this the fact that both bodies are in mars-ruled signs and you can see why anger, aggression and even violence could be on the rise.
since mars rules both saturn and uranus right now- mars’ involvement in activating this configuration between today and monday is HUGE. but it’s not just mars that is in on the action- venus and mean black moon lilith are also involved. next week venus will trine uranus, square saturn and cojoin the Dark Goddess black moon lilith (BML). so we have the Divine Lovers getting into the pressure cooker- no doubt turning up the heat in a lot of relationship situations (romantic, business, financial and otherwise). venus/mars aspects can be highly creative, but when they are tense they can also be destructive. of course it is up to us and our conscious use of the energy that will be the determining factor of which way it goes!
the best use of the mars/saturn alignment is to focus our will, drive and energy in masterful, mature ways instead of exploding out aggressively and immaturely OR stuffing it and becoming an impotent doormat. the best use of the venus/BML alignment is to tap into our wild, primal, intuitive knowing and feel our way through situations instead of think. all the bodies involved- mars, saturn, venus and BML- make sweet aspects to mercury in virgo- who is incidentally the ruler of the new moon chart on monday the 25th. mercury’s positive involvement with the tense face-off of planets can help us to see the a Bigger Picture playing out in our lives and perhaps help us get more discerning.
of course mercury is quincunx uranus- so the lower mind and Higher Mind are at odds with one another. this coming weekend and next week is definitely NOT the time to be trigger happy- but it’s also not the time to keep on waiting it out and sitting on the sidelines waiting for someone else to make the move.
with such a powerful combination of planets aligning- we’d all do well to check our egos and our aggression when/if they rear their ugly heads. the best use of ego is for setting healthy boundaries and the best use of aggressive energy is to enforce those boundaries. so this weekend think boundaries, not walls. think reality, not fantasy. think foundation change- and leave the interior decorating for later once the house has been securely and safely built ;)
